Incontro d'albero

"Gli alberi non svolgono solo funzioni biologiche, gli alberi più vecchi influenzano il paesaggio, sul piano emotivo e delle energie sottili, aiutando altri esseri a trovare un luogo adatto dove sviluppare la loro attività"

Con queste parole, Francisco ci ha invitato a fare una passeggiata sabato mattina per incontrare alcuni alberi significativi per il territorio di Treviso. Abbiamo esplorato l'interno di una quercia presso la Chiesa di Sant'Anna e Santa Maria del Rovere, ci siamo lasciati trasportare dalla sua effervescenza! Abbiamo reso omaggio a un'antica farnia, abbracciandola in tre, e ci siamo immedesimati nel suo ruolo di guardiana e protettrice del luogo. Quindi a Villa Margherita siamo stati intrattenuti da un platano sulla riva del laghetto e da una singolare coppia, costituita da un cedro e da un carpino, sul limitare del grande parterre della cedraia.

La capacità di incontrare un albero sul piano emotivo nasce da un allenamento all'esercizio del silenzio interiore e dell'ascolto attento di come entra in risonanza con noi tutto ciò con cui noi stessi entriamo in relazione.

Se ne avete l'occasione, prendetevi del tempo da trascorrere in compagnia di un albero - o di un gruppo di alberi - in questi giorni in cui si stanno risvegliando all'autunno. Osservate il processo che stanno attraversando, sentite come si liberano di ciò che fra poco sarebbe loro superfluo, ascoltate il rumore delle foglie che cadono sulla terra.

C'è negli alberi un senso infallibile della loro missione.

These words are from Francisco's invitation for a walk around the territory of Treviso to discover the functions of ancient and significant trees that live there. Thus we ventured in the exploration of a hollow tree standing in front of the Church of St. Ann and St. Mary of the Oak-tree, we were surprised by its sparkling activity! It took three of us together to pay our respects to an ancient pedunculate oak by embracing it, we explored its role as a guardian of the place. At Villa Margherita we then met a plane tree standing at the edge of a pond and couple of trees, a Deodar cedar and a hornbeam, at the edge of the orangerie lawn.

The possibility of meeting a tree on an emotional level is grounded in the costant exercise of interior silence and the careful attention we pay to the way everything we relate to ultimately resonates within ourselves.

These days, if you have a chance to, spare some time to spend in the company of trees that are awakening to the autumn impulse. Pay attention to the process they are undergoing, feel the way they manage to get rid of what would soon become a hindrance to them, hear the sound of leaves falling on the ground.

Trees have a faultless sense of their mission.
